Apparently, the new Heineken is very nice. I have even heard people refer to it as a 'Stella Beater'.

Has anyone tried it? I can't find anywhere that sells it =[

New Heineken? As in when they bumped up the booze content up a couple of years ago? Or is there a new product I'm not aware of?

Apparently new since Christmas, Heineken 'tastes better' =/

Hmmm. First I've heard. I think I'm going somewhere with a bar rocking it on tap so I'll have a pint and report back.

heineken tastes like dirty dishwater strained through the kidneys of eleven homeless lepers
Posted by Saltation_DUPE1, around February 2006:

well, that IS an improvement, i must say
Posted by Sul_DUPE1, around February 2006:

That's generally how I feel about it but as a dayer drink in Holland I got quite the taste for it.

From the website:

From 24th February 2003, Heineken as we know it in the UK changed forever.

With the license Heineken held with Whitbread expiring on 23rd Feb, from this date Heineken resumed responsibility for its brand and for the first time, the authentic, Dutch-brewed Heineken became available in the UK.

With Heineken Cold Filtered and Heineken Export quickly disappearing from bars and shelves, soon the UK will be savouring the premium quality taste of 5% Heineken, the same beer loved the world over. A new era for Heineken in the UK has begun!

Look at the Dutch tortoise zoom past that Belgian hare ;)

Well, I'm still going to try some =]

what's "dayer drink"?
Posted by Sul_DUPE1, around February 2006:

Your pace drink of choice when on an all day bender = a dayer
Posted by Saltation_DUPE1, around February 2006:

ahhhhhh

in CAMRA-lingo, that'd be "a session beer"
Posted by Sul_DUPE1, around February 2006:

I considered using the term "sesh lager" but went for dayer instead as I thought it would cause less confusion. You live and learn, eh? ;)
Posted by WarHead, around February 2006:

No.
Posted by Saltation_DUPE1, around February 2006:

"you live and learn"... "you live and learn"... i LIKE that, is it yours, can i borrow it?
Posted by Grim..., around February 2006:

Yeah Sul, if that was true, Warhead would be the smartest.
Silly.
Posted by WarHead, around February 2006:

Before we can test this hypothesis, we need to define 'smart' in this context.
Posted by Saltation_DUPE1, around February 2006:

nothing says "smart" like shiny shoes
Posted by Alfie_DUPE1, around February 2006:

That's because shiney shoes pronounce it "Thmart" cos they have their tongue hanging out.
Posted by Saltation_DUPE1, around February 2006:

two shoes, one tongue, no way
Posted by Sul_DUPE1, around February 2006:

Of course nothing says "well smart" like a pikey on seeing his mate's new spoiler.
Posted by Saltation_DUPE1, around February 2006:

or an american on being asked where he plans to buy his next cheap well from
Posted by Alfie_DUPE1, around February 2006:

or where he plans to get his science fiction novels from.
