Discussion » Why 99% of "IT Professionals" piss me off

this neatly points up the problems i have with the overwhelming majority of "coders" or "admins" or "IT professionals" or "computer-anything". viz., they're covering wilful ego-driven stupidity with a veneer of ego-driven scorn.

"Why do those idiots keep hitting that button?" is heard in IT shops much more frequently than "Why don't we get rid of that button?"

'When (not if) a user asks "This sounds like a lot of extra work, how will it make my life easier?" you have an opportunity to evaluate your career progression.'

I agree that some coders, admins or professionals are especially egotistical.

That articule was a bit synical. There are some really decent people out there too who really do a very good job. I do a mediocre job, but I'm a lazy fat american.
