A prominent Iranian newspaper said it would hold a competition for cartoons on the Holocaust to test whether the West extends the principle of freedom of expression to the Nazi genocide as it did to the caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad.

How about a bunch of jews in a concentration camp huddling together, and saying "It may be tough now guys, but just wait until this investment starts paying off..."

Maybe Hitler saying 'Round up the Jews', and the Jews saying 'help us' and all the different allied armies saying 'we shall help!' and the Profit Muhamed running along with a bomb saying 'The muslims will destroy the Germans, because we are a bunch of terrorists!'

Is that the sort of thing they are looking for?

In all seriousness, it's up to them what they put in their papers, and by not rising to it, the rest of the world has the chance to say 'See? Just get over it'.

Obviously, we're already being let down by the Americans. Sean McCormack ("Any attempt to mock or to in any way denigrate the horror that was the Holocaust is simply outrageous") needs to take the fucking hook out of his mouth.

Or a cartoon of Anne Frank:

"Dear Diary, am getting rather bored back here; the lion smells funny and the witch has eaten all the Turkish Delight"

That sort of thing?

Yeah that'll show 'em.
