Plan was to hit an old mate's new housewarming tonight in Brighton for some serious substanceal hard house happiness and pretty much writing off the weekend and monday.

Just got a text. Painters have cockedup -- the house is still under-done and covered in crap.

What should I do instead?

Weird, I'm going to be in Brighton tonight too, seeing a mate who moved down there a while back. I doubt its the same bloke.

Wow, I'm in Brighton visiting a friend from uni.
That's just scary.

tivo says topgear's not on anytime soon :(

criminy, you're less than 2 miles away! which, factoring in time of night and rain and temperature, is currently 2,000 miles. but come summer, you're only 10 minutes and a pile of sweat away. dum dum DUMMMM!!!

i'm up by spitalfields market, on a little victorian alleyway. and on my third wine. just popped upstairs after watching very rare alan moore interview to see what's goin' ONNN in the iamcal universe.

It's a shame you weren't there Salti, I'm sure I would have bumped into you as I was in the Walkabout for the first bit of the night. I'm sure you would have been in there, you antipoles love it ;)

What did you get up to Alf?
Posted by Alfie_DUPE1, around 13th March 2006:

Lying about being in Brighton mainly.

And Grim... seems uncommonly keen for a little bit of Salty company.
Posted by Saltation_DUPE1, around 13th March 2006:

you're just jealous

sul: i swapped the walkabout for the satabout
Posted by syl_DUPE1, around 13th March 2006:

When are you coming to visit me Salty? I have your room all ready.
Posted by Saltation_DUPE1, around 13th March 2006:

is THAT where it is!? i've been looking bloody everywhere for that.
Posted by syl_DUPE1, around 13th March 2006:

Oh, shit. Sorry. I took it last year. I fixed it up, I have put flowers in bowls; painted the cupboard (you sure had some strange things in there, Sal) I've cleaned it all out and put a four-poster bed in, biggie-best curtains and room freshener. You'll love it.
Posted by Saltation_DUPE1, 13th March 2006:

you put a four-poster bed in my cupboard? so... ah... my prize collection of... ehh that's still in the cupboard, right? just UNDER the bed or something, right?

i gave up putting flowers in bowls because they kept poking me in the eye when i was trying to eat breakfast. guess i'll have to get me some safety goggles. or better, some cool leather and chrome flying goggles -- OH yeah i can see me in those
Posted by syl_DUPE1, 13th March 2006:

You can certainly bring your goggles along with you if you want to. Just don't wear them in the morning, you'll scare my Mom. Your collection is safe in the shed at the bottom of the garden. Sorry, but we couldn't stand the smell. And my Mom wants to know if you'll need any help darning those socks. Also, you will have to take the beetle in to town.

If you're good, they may let you take one of the dogs later.
Posted by syl_DUPE1, around 14th March 2006:

Yip, you can take Charlie, Jesse and Bobby for a walk. But not Jesse and Charlie together, because they fight.
