I bought this book yesterday:

It's a collection of comics taking a different view on some of the DC characters. Alot of it puts them into a more normal life role. Such as Batman getting therapy and realising that there is no real need for him to avenge his parents death thus retiring.

Batman: Upgrade 5.0
"I wonder how many criminals I'll catch with this new operating system!?"
"Please restart computer?!! But its hardwired to the nuclear reactor. I'll have to shutdown the core! Grumble"

Or Aquaman's sad story of having signed up for another open mike night as to lament Mera through song. But ultimately getting upstaged by Robin.

There's load of little gems in here if you know a little about the superhero they feature.

If you get a chance pick it up and have a quick look in a bookshop. I was laughing to myself last night and smiling broadly on the train this morning.
