Ok this one will take a few hours. It's a massive read and make sure you listen to the audio too. Basic story: these guys have been baiting a 419 scammer for well over a year and have made him pay around $50,000 in freight charges. They're treading a fine legal and moral line but fuck it, it's great fun.

The Scam Baiter - Cole v2.0

A top tip would be to learn to skip most of the comments and only focus in on tF's posts and the other players when they get involved.

Oh and check Cole v1.0 too.

for the 3Ders out there: making hair realistic

old vs. new

"The model that's been around since the '80s works for black hair, and a model we introduced in 2003 in collaboration with workers at Stanford gets brown hair right and makes blond hair better," said Marschner, an award-winning computer graphics expert who specializes in making computer graphics more realistic, particularly in animating human beings. "Using that model with our new work provides the first practical method to use physically realistic rendering for blond hair and still get the right color."

The fucking bear is evil, man! Just look at it!
Posted by Saltation_DUPE1, around 26th July 2006:

the bear? why, that cute, furry ... demon-eyed... coldly staring... massive and menacing with a heavy clawed paw weighing down the shoulder, held next to the neck of its pawn, whose face is drawn in a frozen terrified rictus...
all the while its icy eyes blankly weighing us up, deciding its next victims, deciding who's next in its ineluctable march of dark terror...

*screams*

*runs*

"Tommy doesn't cry. He's learnt that when he does noone comes." Is it just me or does that sound like good advice? It's like Steph in Neighbours, she didn't want to let anyone outside of the family look after her kid for the night whe she had ACDC tickets. Well, to be honest, if I had ACDC tickets I'd take the kid with me and leave it in a rucksack in the cloakroom. I'm gonna be a good dad me.
Posted by Saltation_DUPE1, around 26th July 2006:

Steph was a good dad, too.
