*Offer applies only to residents of the UK

And to be honest it's only worth ten pee and we got it free, so we're only going to waste a stamp if the person who replies is someone we vaguely like.
Posted by Alfie_DUPE1, around August 2006:

That's not to suggest that we don't like the people who aren't in the UK.
Posted by Alfie_DUPE1, around August 2006:

Although to be fair the non UK people on here are either crazy or deserters. Or possibly both.
Posted by Alfie_DUPE1, around August 2006:

Apart from Miki.
Posted by zxenor_DUPE1, around August 2006:

too bad i'm not in the UK :(
Posted by reitsma, around August 2006:

seeing as you were the first to reply, i guess you can have it yourself.
Posted by syl_DUPE1, around August 2006:

Well, I'm always bloody here, so in more ways than one - that makes me crazy.

CRAZY!
Posted by Grim..., around August 2006:

I'll take them!

Now if only I knew my new address =[
Posted by frankie_DUPE1, around August 2006:

I'd take them but I wouldn't trust you with my address..
Posted by Alfie_DUPE1, around August 2006:

Why not! I'm very trustworthy. It's not like you have to give me your keys.
Posted by WarHead, around August 2006:

Do terms and conditions apply?
Posted by Alfie_DUPE1, around August 2006:

Indeed
Posted by frankie_DUPE1, around August 2006:

I tell you what, send them to salty and he can bring them to my office.
Posted by WarHead, around August 2006:

0_o

I was gonna say he could send them to me and I could meet up with frankie at Pimlico choob station next time I'm in Lunnun, but clearly there are machinations going on here wot I wasn't privy to.

And if it had been a wee while ago I could have had them postage free, as I could have popped down to alfie's damp flat in Didsbury and collected them by hand. But he and Reddy have moved to Chester. I wonder if it was something I said.
Posted by Alfie_DUPE1, around August 2006:

It was the smell.
Posted by frankie_DUPE1, around August 2006:

I tell you what... alfie send them to salty who will have a few then bring them to my office, i'll have a few then i'll leave them in the photo booth at pimlico station on my way home and warhead can retrieve them next time he's down and finish them off...

or alfie could bin those ones/give them to a tramp and we could all go out and buy our own.
Posted by syl_DUPE1, around August 2006:

It was the smell.

hahaha!
Posted by Saltation_DUPE1, around August 2006:

ooo it's like the soft chewy brightly-coloured gelatine version of bookswapping
Posted by Alfie_DUPE1, around August 2006:

frankie: the packet has 10 sweets in it. So depending on your definition of "a few" then Warhead may go hungry.
Posted by Emma, around August 2006:

Oooh who will get these vile sweeties?! Looking at the ingredients I can't imagine why anyone would eat them.
Posted by syl_DUPE1, around August 2006:

What's in them, then?
Posted by Emma, around August 2006:

Glucose syrup, sugar, water, dextrose, gelling agent (gelatine), citric acid, caramelised syrup, flavourings, colours: quinoline yellow, sunset yellow FCE, porceau 4R, indigo, carmine Green S, glazing agents (vegetable oil, beeswax and carnuba wax, beeswax).

yummy
Posted by Brock, around August 2006:

Chewy.

Posted by Saltation_DUPE1, around August 2006:

beeswax?

Posted by syl_DUPE1, around August 2006:

Ew. Did you see the 10 grossest candies? Which one's your favourite?
Posted by Doctor Lucid_DUPE1, around 16th August 2006:

Actually, there's a bit of Wensleydale lying around in my kitchen. I'll swap it for the sweets.
Posted by Miki_DUPE1, around 16th August 2006:

are you Wallace ?
Posted by Saltation_DUPE1, around 16th August 2006:

he's willing to LOSE the wensleydale -- that makes him the anti-wallace
Posted by Alfie_DUPE1, around 16th August 2006:

Hmm, swapsies is tempting.
Posted by Alfie_DUPE1, around 16th August 2006:

I tell you what doc, I'd swap a whole lot more in exchange for that drawing of Tony Hart.

Posted by ellipse, around 18th August 2006:

Posted by Sul_DUPE1, around 18th August 2006:

And I thought I was going to get away with sending nothing back, damn it. Just as postage is going up too.
Posted by Sul_DUPE1, around 18th August 2006:

I'd imagine you get Sour Skittles in NZ. They're my fav after sour Jelly Bellies.
Posted by syl_DUPE1, around 18th August 2006:

So Alfie, who's getting them
Posted by Emma, around 18th August 2006:

Oh man I love Dr Lucid's drawings! I'd like to see him have an exhibition inspired by Neighbours.
Posted by Emma, around 18th August 2006:

What the hell are tangfastics?
Posted by Sul_DUPE1, around 18th August 2006:

I've seen the Drew wanking picture in the flesh. I'm special.
Posted by Saltation_DUPE1, around 18th August 2006:

i'm very glad you put in the word "picture" there.
otherwise the word picture was slightly disturbing.
Posted by Emma, around 18th August 2006:

WOW Sul you sure are super special, I'm so jealous.
Posted by frankie_DUPE1, around 18th August 2006:

I saw him draw one of his pictures.. it's from the lesser known 'ky tung pang' series of 2000-2001. Does that make me more special? I also helped compose the song that was sung to gokan, I think a copy of that song should be posted here.
Posted by Saltation_DUPE1, around 18th August 2006:

that would be illegal and bring down the wrath of the RIAApists
Posted by frankie_DUPE1, around 18th August 2006:

I just meant the lyrics..
Posted by Sul_DUPE1, around 18th August 2006:

Go Gokan Go

Gokan is great if you want to be fed
And not only that but he's great in bed
He's handsome, He's macho, and I'm sure you will agree
That Gokan is the man for me

Go, Gokan, Go
Watch the Kebab Juice flow
Go, Gokan, Go
Watch the Kebab Juice Flow

Gokan is cool and so's H & H
The sight of him brings a big smile to my face
Chicken and chips for one pound fifty
A great advantage for those who are thrifty

Go, Gokan, go
Watch the Kebab Juice flow
Go, Gokan, go
Watch the Kebab Juice flow

The thing that makes my life complete
Is his Massive Rotating Pillar of Meat
The thing that makes my life complete
Is his Massive Rotating Pillar of Meat

(solo)

Go, Gokan, go
Watch the Kebab Juice flow
Go, Gokan, go
Watch the Kebab Juice flow

The thing that makes my life complete
Is his Massive Rotating Pillar of Meat
The thing that makes my life complete
Is his Massive Rotating Pillar of Meat

Alfie - that's only about half of the drawing! It's a whole page of notebook. The other bit has the letters "Tony Hart" and a picture of morph. I'm not sure why I only scanned half of it.

There was an episode of Hartbeat where he did that with a massive papier mache heart. I think it was towards the end of Hartbeat.

Please respond quickly, as much as I would like to see you receive your FREE Haribo Starmix, I'm afraid we can only reserve it for another 14 days.
Posted by Sul_DUPE1, around August 2006:

This sounds like a scam!

"Ufortunately due to the recent hike in prices and change of policy within Royal Mail, we underestimated the price regarding the postage of your item. We are unable to provide extra payment as the matter is out of our hands howver if you could just send the small outstanding, one-off payment of 27p to our offices we can unlock your package from postal limbo. Failure to comply within 14 days could mean your package returning to us with further costs."

I'm putting it in the bin then :(

maybe I could post it on freecycle

I know I'll say it was Princess Diana's haribo and flog it on ebay, that'll make a fortune
Posted by frankie_DUPE1, around 4th September 2006:

stick some kind of funny slogan on it and say that banksy left it in a sweet shop as his latest prank... those paris hilton cds are going for about £400 last time i checked, you could make a fortune..
Posted by Sul_DUPE1, around 4th September 2006:

You're kidding! 400 quid? And I bet its fucking easy to forge too. Who wants to go halves on some art fraud?
Posted by syl_DUPE1, around 4th September 2006:

Do they have calories? If so, Di wouldn't be caught dead eating them.

Sorry that was just too awful for words.

*shoots self*
Posted by Alfie_DUPE1, around 4th September 2006:

Actually she would eat them, then "un-eat" them.
Posted by Saltation_DUPE1, around 4th September 2006:

everywhere she went, she was followed by flocks of adoring seagulls and pigeons
Posted by syl_DUPE1, around 4th September 2006:

Bleurgh. I would be bulimic, if I didn't hate vomit so much..
