Callum James Henderson-Begg wants a patent to his name...
tinyurl.com/uljes
"Henderson Begg" is probably more what he is used to hearing in his sado-dom sessions with Madame Rubber-cock-up-the-arse.

Christ on a bike. No wonder we haven't seen him posting here much for months if he's been preparing that application.
Just out of curiosity, how did you find that, Brock?
Posted by
Brock, around 9th November 2006:
I have many sources in very many places.
But someone posted the link in the Flickr help forums, and on boing-boing somewhere.

Ha! Ha! Warhead! Do you see that? Boing Boing! Ha! Ha!
Posted by
Clara, around 9th November 2006:
I've got the patent on Boing. Bastards.

Clara, around 9th November 2006:
Very shrewd, Mr H-Begg
he told me he'd legally changed his name so it was just cal henderson...
Posted by
Grim..., around 9th November 2006:
Yeah, that's what he told me, too.
Posted by
WarHead, around 9th November 2006:
But henceforth I will for ever think of him as 'CJ.'
Boing indeed, Clara. ;0)

Sul_DUPE1, around 10th November 2006:
He told
ME it had been legally changed too. What's going on here? I demand answers!
Posted by
ellipse, around 10th November 2006:
yeah that's what he told me as well
OMG maybe he isn't even cal, maybe the real cal is someone else?

Some very dark secrets are being unearthed here.
As I understand it, Callum James Henderson-Begg went down to the deed poll office where you change your name by deed poll, while he was queueing, he said to the guy in front 'Dude, what's your name?'
The guy said 'Dude, My name's Cal Henderson. What's yours dude?'. Callum James Henderson-Begg replied 'My name's Callum James Henderson-Begg, Dude'
Cal Henderson said 'Dude! That's what I want to call myself', to which Callum James Henderson-Begg replied 'Dude, me too, let's swap names!'
And that's why Callum James Henderson-Begg, formerly Cal Henderson is applying for software patents. Where as Cal Henderson, formerly Callum James Henderson-Begg is working as a transvestite stripper in Reno.
(cos they had to swap jobs due to INS regulation 44.2 paragraph 2 subsection 8c.)

So really, what's the story?
Cal???

Grim..., around 10th November 2006:
Let's hope it gets sorted out soon, or Elina won't know what her new surname will be...
Maybe she doesn't want his surname...

Cal's marrying a lesbian? Is this a visa thing?
Posted by
Clara, around 11th November 2006:
Uh uh, don't be mean. Not everyone who wont take a man's name is a lesbian you know. I wouldn't, and I'm not one. I think it's a bit archaic actually and sexist. Eep - I see another pie-ing coming up.

Sul_DUPE1, around 11th November 2006:
Of course I know. T'was a joke, innit. I'm not really sexist. Just a little bit.
"I think it's a bit archaic"
But you're happy to get married for reasons, I assume to be, other than that of tax breaks and shit. Doesn't the whole process seem a bit archaic? I'm not slating marriage, btw, just seems that labelling one aspect dumb and outdated while holding others sacred is a bit inconsistent. All or nothing.
As for the whole taking-the-man's-name thing I think it makes some other things simple. You get to be called Mr and Mrs X for a start. There's no confusion over the kid's surnames. Sure you could doubleup but if that becomes the norm in just 3 further generations you've got kids with 16 surnames.
"But why not take the woman's name? Taking the man's is teh sexist!" Sexist, shmexist. People choose to take whatever name they want but it's safe to say that most people that choose to get married like the traditional aspect of it all and that, no matter how much you lesbos despise it, is one of them.

Yeah. Just can't see myself in that 'characaturistic' white dress. The whole thing is contrived and play-acted. A bit of a plastic tradition.
Although there is a sweet aspect to it. I cry at them, so I can't be all THAT lez. I like the "marriage" aspect. I'm not that keen on the ceremony. I'm a bit hippy-I'd like to hop on a Harley and go do it in some hippy colony.

weddings are great, because you get to make a big list of presents you want and then everyone has to buy you one.
This is why engagement parties are also great.

Less plastic, I suspect, for the people that believe what is being said...
i think you should take the surname of who-ever has the coolest name.. in which case i'm keeping mine...
^^ perfect compromise ^^
lets all take frankie's name...

Clara, 13th November 2006:
I agree. Your name IS cool.
P.S. don't take any notice of me. I'm a bitter old maid.
Hahahahahahahaha!

I was going to say that I thought an old maid one who's never had carnal knowledge of a man, but then I wasn't sure so I Googled it, and it does indeed appear to be an elderly unmarried woman. But I wouldn't describe you as elderly anyway.

I like this bit;
