Syl, the rest of the world calls those emails spam. ;)
Posted by syl, around February 2008:

Hahaha. Damn.

Posted by WarHead, around February 2008:

Uncool post removed.
Posted by syl, around February 2008:

Ah, it was from you, Axeman? Cool. Thanks ;)
Posted by su, around February 2008:

WH if you took that off flickr and didn't post properly
that's a little uncool
Posted by WarHead, around February 2008:

&$%£* - although not sure what you meant by 'post properly'
Posted by su, around February 2008:

dude
if you use an image from flickr
you need to attribute

for example on the one you used you were required to
"attribute the work in the manner specified by the author or licensor (but not in any way that suggests that they endorse you or your use of the work)."
Also becuase it came from flickr you needed have it linking back to flickr
Posted by syl, around February 2008:

Su, I really don't think all that is necessary here. This is all very informal.
Posted by WarHead, around February 2008:

Su, fair point.

Syl, I know what you mean, seeing as we've always had a cavalier attitude to posting anything here. It's a quiet little backwater and we could find shed loads of images posted in the past that haven't been attributed. But we should respect people's Creative Commons settings on their property.
Posted by su, around February 2008:

syl
this is about respecting other people's property
forgive me for wanting to show consideration for other people

LOL@warhead :)
Posted by syl, around February 2008:

Fair point, Su. I apologise.
Posted by Sul, around February 2008:

WH: Why'd you delete the post entirely and not just amend it to be in line with the license?

Just wondering if it has anything to do with a "WTF does that mean?" factor. I can understand a link back to the guys flickr account as a courtesy to them and the hosting but I'm sorry, when you're posting your shit on the web you're a little up your own arse to expect someone to adhere to a license of that level of pomposity when they borrow it as a throwaway joke on a fucking web forum. Okay, I dont know what the guys attribute specifications were so I may be ranting for no reason, but if it gets to the stage where people want {joke image} and then a barrage of legal shit, links and disclaimers following, then I think we might have a problem.

The web was built on ripped off animated gifs. Think about it, that's all I'm saying.

Oh, this is the valentines day topic isnt it? I'll post something a bit more cheery. I made a girl a very special bag of just Haribo Tangfastic Cherries. Drew a custom bag for them and everything. They're her favourite. I'm such a romantic. I got laid.
Posted by syl, around February 2008:

I am so jealous you got laid. But I am also happy for you :)
Posted by che, around February 2008:

She is 9 though, so sweets were a good option there.

1. I am a wuss.

2. Su is scary

3. I didn't get su's drift, so I wasn't sure why I hadn't 'posted properly' and so deleted the pic until I found out.

4. I imagine the owner just has that CC setting by default and I don't imagine there'd have been a barrage of legal shit if he discovered that I'd posted that pic here. Course, I could be wrong and he'd take out a contract on me.

5. Anyway, wtf is going on here?

See the original, in all it's glory, here.
Posted by su, around February 2008:

is it true love sul?
Posted by Redmaiden, around February 2008:

Eww you gave a girl Haribo and got laid (congrats on that) but Haribo is so minging.
Posted by Sul, around February 2008:

Shocker! Haribo is not minging. Tangfastics are a pun on Fantastic for a very good reason!

Wh: I have no idea whats going on but does anyone else think Cal looks a little Gordon Freeman-esque

Su: Probably not. I do weird things for lots of people.

I see the whole perservering thing is paying off. Boys, let this be a lesson to you, never give up (unless she takes out a restraining order)
Posted by che, around February 2008:

Hey, in my case I managed to get round the retraining order too.
Posted by syl, around February 2008:

I agree with jeffry, the persistent bird gets the worm.
Posted by WarHead, around February 2008:

@che - retraining order??
Posted by syl, around February 2008:

Men always get retrained. They have to be converted from "mother's way" to "wife's way" ;)

It's funny because it's true. :P
Posted by che, around February 2008:

True in the 1950s maybe.
Or, you know, places where attitudes are still stuck in the 50s...
Posted by syl, around February 2008:

Aw...and you didn't even put a ;) after you said that.

I'm soooo bored. I haven't much work to do until next week, and I hate just sitting here, trying to look busy. It makes me mischievous.

(it was but y'know, I'm a fucking stud innit)

Look at Chay being all racist. I guess you do have to fight the South Africans in the same ring though. ;)

syl, sorry i forgot the ;)
Although Fork in my frickkkkin eye is better.
Posted by WarHead, around February 2008:

I don't know first-hand about a fork, but shampoo in the eye stings like fuck.
Posted by syl, around February 2008:

Arf!
Posted by Sul, around February 2008:

I once got a massive glob of toothpaste in my eye. That one hurt. My mate got baby lotion in his eyes by a careless stripper we hired for his birthday, he went from horny to angry very very quickly.
Posted by Meatwood Flack, around February 2008:

I seem to get chilli in my eye quite regularly. That hurts pretty bad. Trying to get it out with a fork always seems like a good idea at the time.

Sul: Is 'baby lotion' an euphemism?
Posted by Sul, around February 2008:

Hahaha. Nope, it was a female stripper. She got far enough into the act for us to be sure. :)

I've done eyeball vodka shots which hurt surprisingly little.
Posted by Redmaiden, around February 2008:

eyeball vodka shots - WTF?!?!?!?!??!?!
