Hahhahahahahahahaaaaaaa..... typical Italian logic. What I really liked was, "She had lent her telephone to her secret lover, Giovanni, who then used it to call Carla's estranged husband, Vincenzo, and insult him.

It sounds like a plot from a modern-day opera.

Giovanni: Vincenzo, is that-a you-a?
Vincenzo: Si
Giovanni: You have a dick-a like a limp-a shrimp-a.
Vincenzo: (looking at the display on his phone-a) Carla, what's-a the matter with your voice-a?
Giovanni: You have a face-a like a squished-a tomato.
Vincenzo: Hokayyyy, if you want to be like that-a, you have a minge-a like-a the Col de Tende Tunnel.
Giovanni: Brute-a!!! /rings off.

He's a silly arse : news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/america...

But I can't decide if he deserves to lose job over this. I'm leaning towards "No."

you've probably seen it, but i still think it kicks arse

Excel as a 3D Gaming Engine

for my money, excel remains the stand-out best-designed application on the planet. the breathtaking consistency and cleverness and sheer CONSISTENCY of the low-level stuff that 99% of people don't even know exists. the harder you push it, the more awe you feel for the original architects. every time you go to extrapolate on its previous capabilities, it works exactly the way you'd expect, as a coder and as a UI. nonlinear optimisers of stonking sophistication since 88. (auto)intersections and arrays and Names-as-API, oh my.
it's like graphical python.

excel 5 and 95/98(windows&mac, respectively) are far and away the best versions to use, by the way. no change in math/coding capability, slight UI edge for 95/98

I swear that Excel thing was in the link log earlier in the month.

I may be imagining things

Sheesh Friday again! The weeks are flying by. My friend is not taking her treadmill to New Zealand, so I am buying it. I hope it doesn't become another expensive ornament in the house ;)

The easy way to avoid that is to keep it in the garden shed.
