Wow - it's been pretty quiet here the last week or so. Where you kids been at?

I am well - been rushing around doing all sorts of things. But now here's a question - is targetted internneted marketing better than I thought?

I recently put on an event called glue gun '91. It was great. Now I log on to myspace (which isn't something I've done in a good while), and I find myself targetted by a heck-load of adverts trying to sell me glue-guns. Well, too late, advert boy! We bought one about 3 weeks ago!

However- here's the question. The glue gun was bought on Amy's card, but on my computer. I've promoted the Glue Gun evening on Faceboke, but not on myspace. So why is myspace trying to sell me glue-guns? Or was it always trying to sell me glueguns, and have I not noticed it until I tried to organise an evening themed around them, and the hot-glue-blisters on my hands are a painful reminder of their presence?

Any ideas?

What is this fascination you have with Glue Guns, anyway? I think we should be told.

NB I notice you referred to me, in your Flickr testimonial, as a "Glue-gun wielding teenage cam-girl with black marker pen."

I've always liked glue guns. Forgotten about that testimonial. I do admit, I made up the bit about glue guns.

Other than that it's 100% solid FACT.

Not sure why I've always liked them, though. Pretty darn handy, however.

you could do an experiment and order a staple gun and see if you get staple gun related spam?
personally I have alwais wanted a staple gun or one of those "little stickers with prices on for goods in supermarket" guns
never really thought about glue guns
steve has a glue gun, for his little warhammer orcs

also, I'm alsways here (well every evening)

I have a staple gun.

A girl at my primary school was shot in the eye with a staple gun by the teacher.

It was an accident.

I wish I had a glue gun. And a staple gun. You could really fasten some stuff with that combination.

I burned my hand really bad with a glue gun before. I was gluing lace onto a basket for a baby shower gift.

Staple guns are fun.

if you glued yourself with a glue gun, I don't think you should be allowed a staple gun nov! :)

i quite like the idea of a fully automatic full-crust-jacket bread-gun.

i'd be all: layin down some RIGHTEOUS grain-based red-hot sliced coverin fire. "your toast!" i could then shout, secure in the knowlege that their correction of my grammar would reveal both their kneejerk assumption and their location.
