Heard this on Channel 4 News last night.

I don't envy their tourist board, hard to put a good spin on that one.

The other truly terrifying statistic was that 25% of all South African girls are raped before they are 16. ONE IN FOUR. HOLY CRAP. O_o

The main part of the item was about so called "corrective rape", where it is believed that lesbian women should be raped by gangs of men to "teach them the error of their ways"
