Wooooo! Managed to get
4 under par on the
crazy golf game (which has been taking up alot of my time is the last few days). Can any of you beat that?
The
iamcal software sub-site has finally opened. Now featuring beta 3 of deskcam (new and improved!) and version 2 of slice. Will also feature my game project once it's a little more stable.
Go take the
geek quiz. Not as good as the
spark quizes though. Talking of the spark, you have been reading out
the sister project, right?
The
Microsoft critical updates page is my friend. If you're running win2k, i urge you to upgrade to SP2 and apply the lastest two hotfixes. It's for your own good people.
where did i put my deskcam shot, you ask?
focused on my crappy computer at home, of course! check it out. btw, when are you gonna release noted, cal?

I managed 10 under par on the first 9 holes, but I can't remember what my best score is over the whole course.

We (heart) noted. But does it not take the next window opening location from the API? It *always* opens at the same annoying point, half way off the the far right of my 1024x768 screen. >_<
also, in noted, we need to be able to change the font face/size on our own. i prefer courier new at 9pt regular for all my editing needs. :)

ok - i'm working on noted beta 3 right now. any more feature suggestions?
being able to have multiple open files at once sure would be niiicccce. i like to edit my style sheet and html doc at the same time...
problem: program crashes when 'about' is selected. error message: access violation at address 00422F7B. Read of address FFFFFFFF.
suggestion: use a bigger search box area for 'find/find & replace' boxes.
suggestion: use colored syntax for common file types. (i.e. html, perl, c++, java, css, etc.)
suggestion: add more functionality to the right-click menu. i'm not sure what, but put that right-click menu to good use!
suggestion: make it possible to minimize noted to the system tray. this would be very handy, because i could get it out of sight, but not so far that i'd have to open it again. ;)

Suggestion:
Have a "white-text-on-blue-background" option- easiest on the eyes.

along with the language-colouring idea, a "comment this highlighted block" (obviously in the format of the selected language) would rule.
a mass convert-between-linebreaks feature would rock - change a directory of files to one CR/LF format in a few clicks!
Oooh, ooh! "indent this block" feature - should be easy to do.

Suggestion:
"Find matching parenthesis/angle bracket/curly bracket"
Suggestion:
"Check all lines for valid End-of-line character" (where applicable to language)
Suggestion:
Modularity to extend support for extra language highlighting/recognition...
