Hehehe, has anyone seen "Shriek if you know what I did last Friday the 13th"? It gets the award for LEAST politically correct quote:
"God, a student was killed last night.."
"This is America, kids get killed all time time in highschool!"
"No, this kid was white, AND she was popular."

MJ, I just stopped responding to someone's emails for a few days for a comment similar to that, you have NO idea how tiresome it gets.. For some reason whenever it comes to proving the greatness of an american over a brit, the phrase "We kicked your asses in x war" seems to come up a lot.. Surprising, specially considering that most of the people I know weren't even alive in whatever war they're referring to.. I wasn't aware that the american belief in reincarnation was so widespread :p
Ell.. lol

Hmmm .... well, if you want to be historically accurate about it, it was the Russians who saved everyone's asses in WW2...
hehehe. i think that americans just don't like you because you have accents. accents that make you sound snobby...
Posted by
sal, 10:34, 8th July 2001:
haha, that has to be the funniest comment I've heard all week. Americans don't have accents....pfft
"ahh gee! look at that! aint that quaint! let's go get some more cheeseburgers!"
*starts running*
and I wouldn't say someone from Birmingham for example sounded snobby ;)

I hardly have an accent at all anymore, lost it on purpose because so many people said "Hey, I looove your accent".. Gets really tiresome after a while.. As in, seriously, every person I met would comment on my accent.. Now it's only about one in 10.. which is at least somewhat improved..
And everyone has an accent.. You just don't think you do.. But to a brit, you have an american accent, to an australian you would too..
sal, i have
never said "quaint". never. but seriously, i don't see what the big deal is. we're all really the same people, 'cept that americans split off and bettered themselves for about 200 years...
Posted by
ell, 16:12, 9th July 2001:
WHAAAT!? Split off, to form a dogmatic, slave-trading culture that glorified a brutal civil war that killed thousands. 'Twas nothing but an extension of the dark ages... the much-touted declaration of independance was a hypocratic joke that ignored women and african settlers, and "freedom of speech and religion" basicaly amounted to getting persecuted if you didn't conform to the beliefs, or spoke out against the leaders. Oh yeah, and there was that teeny little genocidal thing going when the native American peoples were wiped out to make room for the settlers...
Britain may have a shady past (yes, there was that Elizabethan global-domination thing we had going), but America has NOTHING to be proud of in its entire history. And what have 200 years of betterment and enlightenment led to? 3 Words: George Bush Jr.
...
:O WHOAH! Sorry, kinda went overboard there. Don't mean to offend anyone; I was having this argument with someone the other day too....
*takes more ritalin*

"I didn't, Noooo, I didn't."..
He had a nappy with a plastic saftey pin too, it always fell off..

George blatantly had a sex change. It was either male to female or female to male. Not sure which. Don't want to know which.
Okay, I'll shut up. :)

George was cool, zippy was just a brat..
Bungle was too blatantly a sweaty guy in a bear suit, who, come to think of it, also had his own sexual identity problems.. I seem to remember him wearing an apron frequently.. and generally being a bit of a wuss..
