What do you think should happen next?
What action should be taken, if necessary...
What is your view???

it's a difficult situation. no one is owning up, and chances are it's osma bin laden (though maybe america should look inside for answers - remember timothy mcvey?). if it's only a small group behind this, then what can the US do? declare war on their home country? how is that any more humane than the terrorist attacks themselves? the first thing to do is to establish who, why and how. then the subject of retaliation will rise.
unfortunately, should bush choose to not respond with deadly force, he will be voted out asap. he will have no choice but to make a public display of America's "revenge".

In my opinion Bush seems a little bit too trigger eager as it is, I wouldn't be at all suprised if we see some nukes flying. The American people are going to want revenge, will Bush give it too them? in IMHO yes, and on a massive scale.
The likleyhood of it being done by a small group of American radicals is too small though, look at the evidence: They committed suicide in the planes, not many radical groups are willing to lay their life down for the cause, they had to have had a small bit of training to fly the planes into the buildings, without the aid of some proper planes to practice on (Flight Sim 2000 aint THAT real) they wouldve missed the towers/pentagon, they were too good a target for people who have played a little too much flight sim.

The ability to fly the planes into the towers could be garnered from some basic aircraft training, but the terrorist turned off aircraft beacons etc. suggesting they knew their way around a 767 cockpit.

Looking at the news this morning, I couldn't help but notice that Bush was saying there would be no distinction made between the people who did this and anyone who harbours them.
Sounds like a license to make war to me.

His finger's already on the big red button, he's just waiting for somewhere to aim.

it does sound like he's planning to have a small eastern country fully paved by the end of the week.

I know the president that we've got running around in that building in DC with his hand on the big red button, and you're right, he's going to want to pave a mid-eastern country. However, that's not going to stop him. I wish I could say that "him" is only Bush, but instead, it's a collection of millions of Americans screaming for vengeance and the blood of our enemies carried in huge buckets to the altar.
He will use this excuse to bomb more than Afghanistan. Libia...Syria...Iraq...Iran... the list will grow until his hunger is satiated--and his father is happy.

I don't know how much coverage the rest of the world is giving, but entire stations are broadcasting news 24/7 currently, sans commercials on some even.. There have been multiple interviews with high-up people, and they showed film of congress and the senate in session.. There was one guy in one of those that basically talked for 10 minutes about "this is not the time for justice, this is the time for war" and other words to that effect.. From what I've seen, almost across america, people are determined for war. Not single strikes against terrorist bases, all-out, non-stop, war.. I've found a lot of what I've seen on tv here today chilling. Congressmen have been warned that this may not be the end.. And the news from NY is not good, a doctor who'd been on the scene was interviewed on ABC, and he basically said "They weren't pulling out anyone I could help, and it's worse than you imagine. I hold little hope that there are many people left alive in there"

The fact that there are too many doctors and not enough patients is really worrying. 10,000 believed dead and under a hundred have come out alive :(

The ratios are too much to comprehend, I mean, to see the shear size of those towers and to think of the ammount of people burried in theire collapse... it's enough to knock a hollow feeling into the most cold of hearts. Its been said before and I'll say it again, my heart and hopes go out to all the people/families involved in this catastophie.
Instead of looking for blood to spill offshore, for the time being at least maybe the American government should concerntrate all their powers mopping whats already been spilt. Revenge can wait.
