At this moment in time I am listening to the excellent ska-punk-rock stylings of Borders and Boundries by Less Than Jake.

Also have the Blues Brothers soundtrack sitting on my desk to listen to :)

So I took a chance on NoFX a few months back because of Fat Mike being the singer and song writer (I heard of him through a mistaken download), so I bought "Pump up the Valuum", a brilliant punk album, so then I decided to get "So long, and thanks for the shoes" another great album, so then thought I'd go to a REALLY early album of theirs, "Maximum Ronck n' Roll", what a complete pile of shit. Dont get me wrong, its nice to here a shitty album so you can really appreciate how far they've come along, it was the same with The Clash, their early stuff was really bad but then we got songs like "London's Calling" amd "Should I stay or should I go". What I'm saying is, has anyone else done the same as me, bought an album on the off-chance and then thought wow these guys are great, but then bought an earlier album and thought, "god, if I was to just shout profanities into the mic and hit a half empty bottle of Stella across the table in a regular beat, it'll still be better than this!"

just a thought.

Hmmm, lots of Radiohead, mostly from Amnesiac and Kid A. I just don't know how anyone could call themselves a fan of modern rock without liking Radiohead. :) I've also been listening to some Voodoo Glow Skulls, who are excellent, BTW (if you like good ska).
Posted by cal, 09:56, 9th October 2001:

Ok, I'm warning you, my playlists are usually fairly and totally bizarre..

For one thing, I'm working on scoring a piece of music for my site, which is video game based, thus I've been listening a lot to Luna's boat song from Lunar Silver star story.. err..

But that doesn't count really..

Let's see..

The Ataris
Bad Religion
Lucky 7
Joan Jett and the Blackhearts
Me First and the Gimme Gimmes
The Eels
The Cars
Meredith Brooks
Radiohead (of course, how could anyone NOT love radiohead?)
Stabbing Westward
Crowded House
Tom Waits
Dead Kennedys
Siouxsie and the Banshees
Cat Stevens
The Dandy Warhols
The Donnas

Err there's probably more, but that's all that's on my winamp playlist at the current moment in time..

Fucking hate Radiohead. They are prog rock that's ok to like.

I've said it before but as far as I'm concerned they were killed in a horrific plane crash after The Bends.

Actually, I don't hate them. Just think they're just a teensy bit hidden up their own arses, like Emma rightly said.

They should call their next album "A Student's Guide to Wrist Slitting"
