This is a read-only copy. The forum ran on iamcal.com from 2000 until its database was lost in 2016, and this topic was rebuilt from copies saved by the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine. Some replies may be missing.

From what I can tell the bugs I mentioned have been sorted out in Noted Beta 5 and it seems to run nicely on my Windows Millennium (!) machine. I'll be getting my copy of Windows XP Professional soon (October 25th hopefully, that’s if Amazon don’t take all week about delivering it) so I'll be able to test Noted Beta 5 on that as well.

Hey y'know your "Triple A" accessibility button? You don't have an ALT attribute on your title graphic ;o)
Posted by cal, 08:12, 15th October 2001:

um, yes i do :)

the title is made of 27x5 small transparent gifs, each with an alt text of "" (since each square has no meaning, it has no alt text)

it's perfectly valid to have alt="" if the graphic is nothing other than a transparent square :)

Absolutely right Cal, well said that man! :)
Perhaps, Kev might want to read - www.w3.org/TR/html4/ :)

my favourite part of the acessability spec is priority 1, point 10:

Guideline 10. Use interim solutions.

Fair enough! :)
