Suzie, 16:19, 18th October 2001:
Who you are, why you're here, and all that jazz.. the only person I know who posts here really is Cal, for obvious reasons.. oh and I know the ubbdev'ers that tend to wander by occasionally on their way to the bathroom..
Me, I'm Suzie, Soozie or any one of many other permutations on my name, which is actually Suzanne.. Originally a born and bred brit, been living in the US for 3 years almost now.. Exciting, huh?.. Luckily having avoided both plane crashes and anthrax to date, am still alive, possibly because the only reason to do anything to detroit would be if you really hated cars..
Shortly to turn 24 (ew) have done many things in life to date, and indeed have dated many things in the quest to find a really great guy (since cal's already taken obv.) Have a large number of trophy dates under my belt, including but not limited to a guy who ran the BBC's website, a standup comedian, a guy who played for the James Taylor Quartet, oodles of musicians and artsy people, a couple stockbrokers and probably some other people I can't remember.. Easily bored (like you didn't figure this out already?) I like doing lots of different things.. am currently attempting to teach myself to draw, with varying degrees of success.. I play most every musical instrument under the sun, or have at one time or another, although my preferred ones are the french horn, the violin, the piano, steel drums, and oh, I love to sing.
Incidentally, if you're planning on starting a band, be anything but the drummer.. noone ever wants to date the drummer because he's the most boring member of the band, and because it takes him 3 hours after a gig to pack up his stuff.
At various times I've had various jobs, went to KCL and studied physics for a while.. I've been a waitress in Greenwich, a biophysicist, a materials research scientist, a music teacher, a civil engineer (kinda anyway.. roads are really really really boring) and for a while recently I spent my time making construction drawings for cell phone towers using autocad.. fun stuff.. honest.. Oh yeah, and in terms of internet stuff, I help run a couple video game sites, moderate at an alternative anarchy kinda site where there are lots of bad things (ie totally my cup of tea).. and am apparently signed on to one of cal's projects as community manager whenever it gets off the ground..
So yeah, that's me.. there's probably a lot more things you didn't want to know, but that's ok, I forgive you :D..
Two more things.. Pet hate, americans who make a big deal about any aspect of my british ness.. ie my accent, the fact that "they saved our butts in WW2", or the fact that british people apparently have afternoon tea every day.. complete with cucumber sandwiches..
Favourite thing in life? Good conversation.. remarkably hard to find, as I commented to a friend the other day, the only reason I'm obsessed with sex is that good conversation is so much rarer, and at least with sex most people manage to get it at least half right..

Me, I'm Luke (but I think the user name gave that one away). I am a 20 year old PC Technician for an educational establishment, didn't bother going to uni but sometimes wish that I had. Single (unfortunately!!) but on the look out!
I went to hell, I mean school, with Cal for a long time hence how I know about him and this site.
Pet hates: Most of the people I went to school with.
Favourite things: Movies, music and spending money :)
That's about it really!!!

86 words? Is that the best you can do for 20 miserable years on this planet?
Man, if you can't say anything true, make something up!.. The more ridiculous and outrageous the better :D

Hey! I'm Chris, I'm 19 and I come here coz it's cool, that - and Cal is my best mate in the whole big wide world!
Where else can I talk about the completely un-understandable to the just plane bizarre? Well, yeah there is the rest of the net but this is just too much like home!
Er, I went to school with Cal and Warren, Luke too but he doesn't know me (I think! I remember him though!). I left and worked in nightclub / restaurants for 3 1/2 years, nearly died so decided to stop...that and they made me live in Luton....*said as a shudder runs up my spine*.
Now I work for the local electric and gas board, TXU Energi or something, it changes every week! And my ambition in life is to travel a large portion of the world back packing, seeing places like Australia, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Japan etc... which I will, as soon as I find some unsuspecting stranger to come with me - because if I go on my own no doubt I will die!
Er, I like movies, LOVE music and play the bass guitar - gonna start learning normal soon too. Live music is my passion of life - I just love concerts.
That's me, I'm sure there's more, I just don't remember it!

Sul, 19:38, 18th October 2001:
Let me see then,
Hi my name is Dan Sullivan, I got the name Sul when I started secondary school and have used it as my prefered name ever since. I'm 19 and work as a lowly IT Support Analyst.
I hail from the little town of Swanscombe in Kent, its near to Dartford. I've been working in London for the last 18 months or so and enjoy the bars.
I have been living on my own in my tiny flat for the last few months and am really enjoying it. I decided to buy and not rent as my Mother told me she wouldnt help me move out if I decided to throw all my money down the drain renting, fair enuff I thought.
I have never had a job I enjoy really, I've been a VB programmer doing scanning software for optical mark readers, and worked on the Microsoft helpdesk for the games/Barney etc.
I am single and have never really been in a proper relationship (awwww), last one I was in, the girl tried to kill her Dad with one of my frinds hunting knives, I attract phycos really.
I take the piss a hell of alot and love people taking the piss out of me, its all a game in my opinion. I'd love to write some comedy of some sort and have tried to start a screen play on a number of occasions and have played about with the idea of a standup cross sketch show like Russ Abbot used to do.
I drink alot probably more than I should but I've got plenty of time to save up for a stint in the priory. My favourite tipple is Stella Artois, and I also drink Gin and tonic if I'm too bloated. I have an unhealthy obsession with pornography and have an equally unhealthy grot mag collection.
I got the link to Mr Hendersons site off of a friend of mine, James, and never looked back.
One of the proudest moments of my life was when I got into the top 10 iamcal.com posters last night, I almost cried.
Apart from the comedy I have no other dreams or ambitions. I have been chasing the same girl for the last 2 years but so far have come away with nada... did I mention I'm persistant as well?
not really that interesting but I couldve made some stuff up so thank me for my honesty.

Ok, one piece of advice, Standup comics hardly ever have relationships, most girls just can't handle the fact that the one liners never stop.. NO MATTER WHAT YOU'RE DOING.. I know I couldn't.. lol..
Damn you guys are all starting to make me feel old..
Oh and don't worry about the fact that you're all single.. far better to be single than in a relationship, from my skewed perspective..
Ohh just got inspiration for a new topic.. yay me.

My real name is Michael.
I was born approximately 22 years ago in the United States.
I've done my fair share of moving throughout my life, but I've spent the better portion of my years in New Hampshire... so for argument's sake, I'll call that "home".
I was never a person whom particularly enjoyed going to school. I depise the fact that I even went to high school and maintain that it was a complete waste of time. I know that's not true... but I prefer to lose myself in my imagination.
After graduating high school at 17... I pressed on and went to college in New Hampshire, where I successfully spent the next year and 3/4's of my life learning more outside of classes than inside. It wasn't really that I was experiencing a whole lot of new things.... I think my mind was just a little bit more prepared for me to use it.
I've done my fair share of drugs.
I've had fair share of hangovers.
I've earned my fair share of piss poor grades.
During my sophomore year in college... while on Christmas break... I ran away from home.
One afternoon, I packed a bag, grabbed a blanket and a pillow... got in my car, started driving, and didn't stop to sleep until I was 3 states away.
It was probably the most incredible thing that I've done to date.
I spent hours everyday... just driving... thinking about myelf... and what I'm doing here.
It may seem egotistical... but it was just the opposite.
On Christmas Day that year... approximately 4 and a half days after leaving home... I drove into Austin, Texas where my older brother (who's an independent filmmaker) resides.
I spent a few days with him... spoke with my parents a few times... then I picked up my things and left to continue west.
I'll never forget some of those nights.
I hope that I never do.
And in some ways, I pray I could.
I'm getting extremely drawn out here and I feel I haven't said a thing.... so I'll shorten everything down and try a bit harder to pull out some main points...
When I reached Arizona.... I turned around and went back "home".
Went back to school temporarily, until I decided to leave college and join the Air Force in May of '99.
For the past 2 years I've been living in Okinawa, Japan.
My job in the Air Force consists of working on air to air missile systems.
I'm single... living in a dorm room that makes a walk-in closet look like a baseball stadium.
My passion for the web and graphics began within the last year and a half.
I got word of this site through a friend (Peter) that speaks quite highly of Cal.
I enjoy music... but I don't mind complete silence either. When I listen to music... usually I'll listen to TOOL. On the other end of the spectrum however... I must admit, I enjoy 80's soft rock as well while I'm dabbling in photoshop.
I have the tendency to order pizza a lot.
I have dumb pet peeves that I don't adhere to myself.... like despising people that hand you change from a register with the loose change on top of the bills.
I'm recently recovering from a terrible sleeping disorder that lasted nearly 9 months.
I'm also recently extremely satisfied with life around me... and I'm mad at myself for being like that. (?)
I'm wierd.
I made a sock puppet a few months ago.
I like to sit down on the sea wall in the evenings and watch the waves come in on the East China Sea side of the island.
This has gone on much further than I expected... time to stop and go be useless elsewhere.
Cheers,
Michael

Heh... funny you say that Suzie, you'd be surprised how many times I've heard that same thing before since living here.
Okinawa, despite being a part of Japan... isn't on the main island. A lot of people don't realize that.... so I thought I'd throw that out for clarity.
I find a lot of things interesting here. However, my brief experiences up on the mainland were rather intriguing. If I were to tell someone to visit Japan... I'd sure as hell tell them to go to the mainland. :)
Cal-
Yes. I was referring to *that* Peter. :)
I stumbled across the 'Ozone Asylum' nearly a year ago....
... Peter and I began speaking on ICQ around 5 months back.
