I like my toast in whole slices but I like sandwiches in triangles best.

i like my food in stomach best.

that's why haggis is the ultimate food.

I totally argee with Sul. But only two triangles from each sandwich, not four.

I have eggs (boiled or fried) with runny yolk. You have to be able to pick my bacon up from one corner without it bending. Toast has to be nearly burnt. Marmite has to be layered on thick.
Posted by syl_DUPE1, around 28th September 2005:

No, four triangles is better. I want toast with thick butter on it.
Posted by Sul_DUPE1, around 28th September 2005:

No, 4 is wrong. Toasted sandwiches also should be in triangles. I haven't seen a sandwich cut into squares for a very long time though.

Marmite should be layered on thick with an equal thickness of marg/butter. It should be mixed up into a brown paste on top of the toast. It's important to do this quickly or the marg/butter will melt.

Toast is the food of the gods.

I don't care if it's so lightly done that it hasn't actually started to get a tan, or so well done that it's almost charcoal, hot or cold, it's all good. Preferably with plenty of butter and either Roses' Tangerine Maramalade (which can be notoriously difficult to find) or Frank Cooper's Coarse Marmalade with big bastard bits of peel in it.

Marmite is also to be encouraged, but I personally don't like Vegemite. An inferior imitation, if you ask me.

"No, 4 is wrong."-----Sul you are such a boy.

BTW Marg is supposedly unhealthy. There was an email going around about it. Anybody seen it?

Health advice in an email is 99.9999999762% likely to be complete bullshit - FACT!
Posted by syl_DUPE1, around 28th September 2005:

Yeah, you're probably right. Sul are you still at...what was it called? Sainsbury's? or somthing like that.
Posted by Sul_DUPE1, around 28th September 2005:

Yes, sort of. Not quite.

i HAD the email, but it died suddenly of myocardial infarction due to the vast quantities of trans-fats washing around its e-stream

I am so HUNGRY now...all that talk about TOAST. All I have is a banana anapple and a pair. I mean...pear

Toast is wonderful. The choice of bread, however, plays an important part in how good it tastes. It has to be Warburtons white thick sliced for me. Mmmmmm... :D
Posted by Saltation_DUPE1, around 28th September 2005:

i like toast in triangles but find them much easier to carry in tubas.

for picnics, of course, nothing beats a euphonium for sheer gluttonous toasty hedonism.

I love toast.

I just had Heinz baked beans (with pork sausages) and toast for tea, after all this cooked bread conversation.

I appear to bow to peer pressure...

i just ate a half a mackeral, some tuna mixed with beans and industrial slime, a bowl of cream of chicken soup, and half a slice of raw toast

Do you have it speshully flown over?

I once did an inter-active video and open learning materials demonstration for the training manager at Warburton's in Bolton. It was great; all the toast you could eat and a big mug of milky coffee. I got a lot of free meals when I was doing that job.

No, I don't think I was fatter, but I was getting more exercise in those days. Cycling to work most days, karate two or three times per week, swimming at least once a week.

p.2 of The Times today:

Toast Detector
A toaster that uses radiation to prevent toast from burning has been approved by the Government. The toaster, designed by Magnetic Design, has been authorised as a justifiable use of radiation by the Department for Environment, Food, and Rural Affairs.

*munchmunch* yours doesn't? i'd get that looked at if i were you.

I prefer to use a toaster oven as opposed to one of those slotted toasters. What is really nice is a slice of Cheese on top. Toasted just long enough for it start to brown on the top.

I also love Texas Toast, especially the ones with the multiple cheeses on it. The toast is thick, about 1 inch, and the spices and butter make it taste great.

Am I alone in thinking that Scott Adams either gave up thinking of original things to write or passed on the writing duties to someone else a couple of years ago? I really think it's got a bit shit.

Hmmmm. Well it's a good idea. I'll give him that. He's got the width sorted which is good but look at the waste in length. I may want my crusts. A serious toast eater would have added the option to either keep the crusts or not. This man is obviously a toast dabbler. And I think Variable length is the least I could ask of my soldier-maker for 6 fucking quid. It'll cost something like 10p max per unit to make. Talk about mark-up. Money-grabbing cunt.
Posted by WarHead, around 18th October 2005:

Er, I've seen the link to the soldier maker, but Sul seems to have ommited the link to the money-grabbing cunt. I suppose this must use similar techniques to the cigarette smoking and ping-pong ball firing cunts.
