I've finally figured out how to get my pixel fonts working in flash (The only one converted so far is hellovetica). Because it's such a large number of hoops to jump through, i've written up a tutorial for creating pixel fonts.

I now have handy instructions for people sending me stuff.

New funky USB devices: A glowing duck hard disc and a coffee warmer. Anyone who speaks japanese: i'd love one of the ducks and would pay you for it if you can sort out the actual buying part. [via pep]

Possibly the best thing ever invented for lazy cooks: the fridge/oven combo. Put your meal in the oven in the morning, keep it refridgerated all day, then cooked automatically to be ready in time for dinner. [via jeffld]

If you use bash then this handy guide to customising your prompt is very cool. Changing the prompt color based on whether you're logged in as root is a great visual marker.

A novel method for catching script kiddies [via k-zed]

My latest bit of toy code is a perl script for converting "pixel art" bitmaps into eps's for use in print: bmp2eps

This would be the best site on the internet if it had a request form for you to fill out.
