not sure if powerpuff girls z is going to see a uk/us release, but it looks interesting [via lea]

i'm not sure whether i'm looking forward to the ppg anime that seems to be in the pipeline (pic1, pic2) (found by lealea at ). the characters seem a little over-characterised, but that much was inevitable. the result will be interesting, if not great.

anime lyrics (rock!) has the words to the rather great opening theme to GITS:SAC theme, "inner universe". i hadn't realised some were in english.

after watching ghost in the shell 2, i found out about the tv series - standalone complex. and now i have it on dvd. could be some good watching ahead.

ghost in the shell 2 is a great piece of work. slower and more dialog heavy than the original, but with a great meshing of cell animation, really stunning 3d work and hand painted (or perhaps photographed) backgrounds. really worth seeing. also makes me want to see the tv series that came out a couple of years ago. must be available on torrent somewhere,

samurai champloo episode 12 felt like it was an ending - it wrapped up the story so far, was vague about what was coming next and had different credits. but ep13 raws and on mirkx. i really hope it doesn't end too soon.

konjiki no gash bell is being subbed again. there truely is a god.

episodes 6 and 7 of samurai champloo are out on mirkx. tnight will be an anime-fest.

and speaking of anime, i'm going to be at animethon next weekend. anyone else going?
