Clippy.js is a recreation of Microsoft Agent, better known in its default configuration as Clippy. I'd suggest a look though the source to see how it all works.

Halfblock

Halfblock is a very neat sort-of-minecraft-clone written in JavaScript using WebGL. The source code is unfortunately on bitbucket instead of github, but cloning it shouldn't be too hard.

Frog Fractions

Frog Fractions is, without a doubt, the best frog-based educational fractions game.

The game is a little deeper than it first appears - make sure you get the presidential pool upgrade.

The Circle Line

One the one hand, it looks terrible. However, London Underground Simulator (Circle Line) is so detailed in all the right ways that I just want to play it. For hours.

Watch part 2 and then buy yourself a copy.

Thrift Shop

So much good music on the youtubes lately, with Kreayshawn's Go Hard and Watsky's Ninjas in Paris. Today's pick is definitely Thrift Shop by Macklemore & Ryan Lewis

Every time I get the message "To prevent you from losing history, non-fast-forward updates were rejected" I have forgetten how to fix it (in the normal case). Yet another guide to simple rebasing in git. This shit is way too complicated.

I've been meaning to link to this for a while: Deploying at GitHub explains the develop/stage/deploy cycle at github, which can rougly be described as "Like Flickr, but with personal dev environments and using Git". It's light on technical details, but says a lot of the right things.

The silver searcher is basically ack, rewritten in C to be crazy fast. If you're regularly using grep to search a codebase, this is probably a much better idea.

The case of the missing bees (more specially, colony collapse disorder) might have actually been solved.

Click and Drag

Today's xkcd combines my love of xkcd and slippy maps. And it's a big one. Luckily someone has put together a draggable/zoomable version.
