Class::Closure is a piece of genius from the indispensable luke palmer. it let's you quickly define classes in perl5 using a regular OO syntax, including inheritance, constructors, destructors, properties (private, read only, simple, get/set), methods and autoloading.

"Last night at a church social I was hit on in broken Russian by a sixteen year old. As I politely explained to him that I was basically 20 and a filthy atheist to boot I was suddenly overcome by thoughts of death. It seems like yesterday that I was sixteen! Twenty is a horrible age that doesn't get you anything worthwhile, only ever closer to disease, dementia, your hands falling off, and finally dying alone in your pyjamas, locked in an apartment no one knows exists. My head was spinning, damn it all, you crazy world, I want to LIVE! In my confusion I gave the boy my phone number."
